oh god.

She fears for the lives of her parents
She fears for the lives of her friends
She trembles when she hears a blast from a distance
“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”

As the battle rages around her
She lights up a candle to see
Beside her, her mother gasping for breath
“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”

“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”
“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”

This war she learned from her father
Is a war between greed and righteousness
Would it help if you keep on asking the question
“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”

Scared as she was
She stands to her feet
Knowing that the culprit is profit and greed
Resolved in herself the question
“Oh, God! When would this war come to an end?”
